INDY 500 Race Day, May 28, 2006, 90th Running : This was our first time to the speedway on race day. Through word of mouth we came by some real good extra tickets from a long time ticket holder. We sat under cover and directly across from pit out. The sights and sounds are unmatched, but being there you end up slightly out of the loop - if you do not have a scanner or TV feed. Luckily local IN TV carried the race later that day at 8 pm.

INDY Museum : We stopped by the INDY Museum the morning after the race when the crowds were much smaller. Good friends of ours won tickets to the 500 but they did not know if they were going to go, as it turns out, we "physically" ran into them in the museum, small world.

2006 Anderson Little 500, 58th Annual Running : Anderson Speedway in Anderson IN is the Worlds Fastest High-Banked Quarter Mile Oval. The Little 500 which is held every year the Saturday night before the 500 is the richest asphalt Sprint Car race in the country, $122,000 in prize money. The format of the Little 500 is unique to Sprint Car racing. The starting grid is comprised of thirty-three cars in 11 rows of three, charging to the green flag. Two mandatory pits stops are required during the challenging 500-lap event.
